presents the interactive exhibit of Imagine East Hollywood:

the graffiti walls

The East Hollywood Neighborhood Council commissioned me to direct an extensive outreach project, interviewing stakeholders and asking them to imagine their ideal neighborhood. We interviewed numerous people, posting the Imaginings on our website, youtube channel, Facebook page and Twitter account.

This Friday, May 7, the Graffiti Walls will open at the Los Feliz Art Walk. The Reception runs from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. We'll expand the walls to include even more interactive opportunities, as well as have on-site filming, so everyone can leave their own Imagining!

A new Imagine Graffiti Wall makes an appearance at the
Silverlake Jubilee May 22-23 - come see!

~ Creator Cindy Marie Jenkins writes:

I represented the common themes and desires of these interviews on 3 graffiti walls (picturedat left).

From January-April, these graffiti walls were exhibited at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery in Barnsdall Park, part of the Actions, Conversations & Intersections exhibit.

People were invited and encouraged to write their desires on the walls, and it drew great responses from everyone!
